Multilayer board is a three-layer or multi-layer plate-like material formed by turning wood segments into veneers or planing wood into thin wood, and then gluing with adhesive. It is usually made of odd numbered veneers, and the fiber directions of adjacent veneers are perpendicular to each other.

Multilayer board, also known as plywood, is one of the commonly used materials for furniture. Usually, its crown plywood surface plate and inner layer plate are symmetrically arranged on both sides of the central layer or core. Commonly used are three plywood and five plywood. Plywood can improve the utilization rate of wood and is a main way to save wood.

Multilayer board is one of the commonly used materials in furniture processing enterprises, and it is a kind of man-made board. A group of veneers is usually formed by gluing the veneers perpendicularly to each other according to the grain direction of the adjacent layers. The surface and inner layers of multilayer boards are usually symmetrically arranged on both sides of the central layer or core. It is a slab made of glued veneers crosswise in the direction of wood grain and pressed with or without heating. The number of layers is generally odd, and a few are even. There is little difference in physical and mechanical properties in the vertical and horizontal directions. Commonly used are three ply and five ply laminates. Multilayer board can improve the utilization rate of wood and is a main way to save wood.
